Reference Collection

The Jake Epp Library has a collection of reference materials including almanacs, encylepedias, dictionaries, and atlases.

The full text of the Canadian Encyclopedia (2000 edition) is now online.

EBSO Host (Internet Reference Data Base)

The Province of Manitoba has purchased the license to the EBSCO Host data base for rural and northern public libraries. 

The license restricts use of the data base to the public library and to the residence of public library members.

EBSCO Host offers 1000's of magazines with full text.  You can search their data base by topic or magazine title.  The data base has extensive listings, including:


  • National and international magazines and newspapers
  • Reader's advisory service that provides access to 155,000 fiction titles
  • Student Research Centre - files for all levels of school research projects
  • Clymer Small Engine Repair Manuals
  • Auto Repair Reference Centre
